After working extensively with hearing impaired individuals, I was driven to provide hearing impaired individuals with something that would encourage them to view their disadvantage as a gift, a benefit, something that allows them to see the world around them with completely fresh eyes. This book was the end result of my efforts, and was one of two final graduation projects at Emily Carr Institute.
